So I just scheduled a new event in a couple of weeks. I have to step back a few years to start this story. One time I was driving from Alberta into the interior of British Columbia to visit a friend. Just for fun I wanted to see if I could rely completely on intuition to get me to his door. I had never been there before and had no idea where he lived in this town. This is before GPS and Map Apps were common but somehow using the (IGS) internal guidance system, I ended up about 20 yards away from his house before I picked up the phone to call and ask where he lived. Then I walked in the house a minute later.
Just for fun, from time to time when I'm driving I will think silently "please take me wherever you would like me to go." This is a way that allows me to surrender to the Divine and be guided by Spirit to serve in whichever way is best. If I am doing this, I will pull up to a stop light and try to get a sense or whether to make a left or a right turn or go straight, and then see where I end up. I've done this many times, and then bump into a friend who says " I was just thinking about you." One time in 2012 I did this in Toronto, and ended up driving by the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. I pulled into the parking lot to go in for lunch and noticed outside a sign said "Body-Mind". Then this thought immediately popped to mind "Where's The Spirit?"
I know very little about the details of the Naturopathic Curriculum but somehow was sensing that perhaps Spirit based education was lacking from the curriculum. We have all heard that we are comprised of Body Mind & Spirit, but how in the world do we actually apply spiritual principals into our life for well being. Well that was precisely a major intent of the work I had been working on for years. So it did not feel like a coincidence that I was drawn to go to the naturopathic school that day. So I had lunch there, and thought, maybe one day I can help.
Several months later, in February 2013 a Naturopathic student from Toronto just happened to be in Windsor and took one of the workshops I was putting on. After the workshop ended, she approached me and asked if I would be interested in putting on a workshop at the College. So we had some discussions and in the summer of 2013 I put together a webpage for the event titled "Where's The Spirit" for her review.
Then a couple months later, in her first week back at school, in September 2013, to confirm the intuitive feel for the state of affairs there at the school, a professor of hers write's on the board the following "Where's The Spirit?". So we scheduled a 3 hour workshop from 9 am to 12 pm noon, at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto titled "Where's the Spirit?". It is free to attend. It is targeted to Naturopathic Physicians and students although everyone is welcome to attend. I look forward to the workshop at the naturopathic college and plan on showing up without an agenda as I do at all my workshops. In that way I can remain present and deliver what is in the best interest of those who attend.
